The Mess & Barracks is the culmination of a long-held vision by the Ararat RSL, and in 2023, that dream became a reality with the acquisition of the historic Courthouse Hotel. This unique space is crafted with one purpose in mind: to serve as a welcoming haven for veterans and the incredible community that stands by them.
Here, we offer a place where you can come together, share stories, and forge new memories. It’s a space designed not just for our veterans, but for the next generation to find connection, support, and camaraderie.

“The Mess” is our dining area, where great food and conversation are always on the menu. “The Barracks” offers comfortable accommodations for community members, visitors, and veterans alike.
